Community Support through Outreach

Sudbury United Methodist supports a number of organizations with financial aid and volunteerism. These organizations provide aid, shelter, food, household goods, tutoring and or mentoring for those in need and include: Habitat for Humanity, Open Table Food Pantry, Pathways Family Shelter, Hagar’s Sisters, Greenwood Shalom After School Program, Thrive Communities, and others.

Interfaith Community

Sudbury UMC has strong relationships with other Abrahamic congregations in the area including those in the Jewish and Islamic faiths as well as Catholic and Protestant Christian houses of worship.

Beyond Our Borders

Sudbury UMC supports Dr. Belinda Forbes, an official United Methodist Global Missionary dentist serving Nicaraguans since 1999. Read more about Dr. Forbes’ work here .

The New Horizon Methodist School in Paraguay is another Global Ministry effort supported by Sudbury UMC.

Work teams and funds have also been sent to our Methodist brothers in sisters on the island of Dominica since 1981.

As the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) assists United Methodists to become involved internationally in direct ministry to persons in need.
