In the deep midwinter the Men’s Group . . . .
The Men’s Group is starting a new session by reading and discussing Jesus the King by Tim Keller. The first meeting for this book will be February 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the O’Reilly Room. The discussion group has previously read The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, and What Does the Lord Require by James Howell. During our last session we spent some time exploring and better understanding other religions, specifically Mormonism, Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism and the essential ways in which they differ from Christianity. We take turns leading the discussions, and generally meet the second and fourth Thursday of any given month. We enjoy each other’s company, learn a lot, kid around, and along the way enhance our walk with Jesus. You are welcome to join us. If you wish to learn more about the group please feel free to talk to any current member: Patrick Helsingius, Remco Stierman, Jim Empfield, Steve Crane, George Gorman, or Richard Smith.
