“To Make a Right Beginning”
Whether you’re building a house or baking a cake, the beginning of the process will make or break the outcome. The same is true when it comes to our Lenten journey to Easter. No wonder the service for Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, urges us “to make a right beginning.” Are you yearning for a more meaningful Easter celebration? Make a right beginning by taking part in worship at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18. The Rev. Christopher Hoyer, who retired as pastor of Sudbury’s St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in 2013, will lead a traditional service in our sanctuary that includes a sermon titled “The Thing about Ashes,” the imposition of Lenten ashes, and the sacrament of Holy Communion.
