We are a diverse and inclusive community of people seeking to become faithful witnesses to God and Jesus Christ, led by the Holy Spirit. We provide worship, education and support to our fellowship and Christian outreach to the world. Our members come from Acton, Concord, Framingham, Hudson, Marlboro, Maynard, Stow, Sudbury, Wayland, Weston and other communities. We are a United Methodist church, not just a Sudbury church.
Worship, education, support, music, fellowship and outreach are woven together here at SUMC. Many of our gatherings involve a potluck dinner. Whether we are holding an auction, a series of lessons for Advent or Lent, or celebrating a Christmas service together, we often break bread together.
We also drink coffee together, every Sunday after Worship. Fellowship is important.
Sudbury is an historic town located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The town was incorporated in 1639. The Sudbury Center Historic District has changed little since 1800. Today the town is 24 square miles with a population of about 18,000.
Many of our members live in Sudbury and the surrounding towns in Middlesex County. Middlesex County covers a broad area west of Boston and includes a great deal of conservation area as well as many historic sites including Cambridge, Lexington, and Concord.
